Moral Development Theory- కోల్బర్గ్ నైతిక వికాస సిద్హాంతము
అమెరికా దేశంలోని హార్వర్డ్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం చెందిన లారెన్స్ కోల్బర్గ్ అనే మనో విజ్ఞాన శాస్త్రవేత్త వివిధ సంస్కృతులకు సంబంధించిన పిల్లలపై అధ్యయనము చేసి నైతిక వికాస సిద్హాంతము ప్రతిపాదించాడు. ఈ సిద్ధాంతము అత్యంత ప్రాచుర్యం పొందింది.
నైతికత అనగా ఏది మంచి, ఏది చెడు, ఏది తప్పు, ఏది ఒప్పు, తెలుసుకోవడం.
Moral అనే ఆంగ్ల పదం Mores అనే లాటిన్ పదము నుంచి గ్రహించబడినది. Mores అనగా ఆచారాలు, సాంప్రదాయాలు, మరియు కట్టుబాట్లు.
ఒక ఇవ్వబడిన సన్నివేశంలో, ఏ నిర్ణయం తీసుకోలేని స్థితిలో, ఒక వ్యక్తి ఎలా ఆలోచిస్తాడు, ఎలా ప్రవర్తిస్తాడు అనే అంశమే నైతిక సందిగ్ధావస్థ ( Moral Dilemma) ఈ నైతిక సందిగ్ధావస్థ ఆధారంగా లారెన్స్ కోల్బర్గ్ తను అనేక సంస్కృతులకు సంబంధించిన, పిల్లలను పరిశీలించి, ఈ సిద్ధాంతాన్ని ప్రతిపాదించడం జరిగింది కోల్బర్గ్ ప్రకారం నైతిక వికాసాన్ని ప్రభావితం చేయడంలో, 3 ముఖ్యమైన కారకాలు ఉన్నాయి.
1). సంగ్రహణాత్మక వికాసం:- వ్యక్తుల యొక్క ఆలోచనా శక్తి పెరిగే కొలది, ఏది మంచి ఏది చెడు అని నిర్ణయం తీసుకునే అవకాశం ఉంది.
2). తల్లిదండ్రుల పెంపకం
3). సాంఘిక అనుభవాలు:-అనగా తాను పెరిగిన టువంటి పరిసరాల ప్రభావం కూడా, నైతికత పైన ఆధారపడి ఉంటుంది.
కోల్బర్గ్ నైతిక వికాసంలో 3 స్థాయిలు 6 దశలుగా గుర్తించాడు. 
కోల్బర్గ్ నైతిక వికాసంలో 3 స్థాయిలు
1). పూర్వ సంప్రదాయ స్థాయి:-(pre-Convention Level )
పూర్వ సంప్రదాయ స్థాయి 4 నుంచి 10 సంవత్సరాల దాకా ఉంటుంది. సాంప్రదాయాలు అంటే ఒక సమాజంలో ఉన్న నియమాలు.
సాంప్రదాయాలు మారుతూ ఉంటాయి కాలాన్ని బట్టి, స్థలాన్ని బట్టి, అంటే మన దేశంంలో ఉన్నటువంటి ఒక నియమం మరో దేశంలో ఉండకపోవచ్చు. అనగా సాంప్రదాయాలు ( Conventions) అంటే ఒక సమాజము అంగీకరించిన ప్రమాణాలు.
పూర్వసంప్రదాయ స్థాయిలో ఏది తప్పు ఏది ఒప్పు అనేది ఇది వారి భౌతిక పరిణామాలను బట్టి ఆలోచించడం జరుగుతుంది. ఈ దశలో రెండు దశలు ఉంటాయి.
ఒకటవ దశ:- దండనకు భయపడి నైతిక విలువలు పాటించు దశ;- (Morality of Constructs)
మొదటి దశలో శిశువు ఏది మంచి, ఏది చెడు, ఏది తప్పు, ఏది ఒప్పు, అనేది పెద్దల విధించు శిక్షకు భయపడి పాటించడం జరుగుతుంది. ఈ దశలో శిశువు దొరికి పోతాననే ఉద్దేశంతో దొంగతనం చేయడం తప్పు అని చెబుతాడు
రెండవ దశ:- అవసరాలను తీర్చుకునే దశ (Morality of Satisfying needs):- రెండవ దశలో తల్లిదండ్రులు పెద్దలు ఉపాధ్యాయులు ఇచ్చే బహుమతులకు, ఆశించి ఏది మంచి, ఏది చెడు, ఏది తప్పు, ఏది ఒప్పు అనేది నిర్ణయించుకుంటాడు.
2.సాంప్రదాయ స్థాయి:- (Convention Level)
సాంప్రదాయ స్థాయి 11 సంవత్సరాల నుండి 13 సంవత్సరాల వరకు ఉంటుంది.
ఈ స్థాయిలో శిశువు సమాజం కొరకు నైతిక విలువలు పాటించడం జరుగుతుంది. దీనిలో రెండు దశలు ఉన్నాయి.
మూడవ దశ:- మంచి బాలుడు మంచి బాలిక గా గుర్తింపు పొందాలనుకునే దశ:-(ఇతరుల సంతృప్తి కోసము నైతిక విలువలు పాటించడం).
మూడవదశలో మంచి ప్రవర్తన అంటే ఇతరులను సంతోష పెట్టేది. తల్లిదండ్రులు, ఉపాధ్యాయుల పెద్దలను సంతృప్తిపరచడానికి, ఈ మూడవ దశలో శిశువు నైతిక విలువలు పాటించడం జరుగుతుంది.
నాలుగవ దశ:-అధికారానికి విధేయత చూపించే దశ.
ఈ నాలుగో దశలో సరైన ప్రవర్తన అంటే ఎవరి బాధ్యతలు వారు నిర్వర్తించడం. సాంఘిక క్రమబద్ధత నెలకొల్పడం కోసం శిశువు నైతిక విలువలు పాటిస్తాడు అనగా వ్యక్తిగతంగా ఇష్టం ఉన్నా లేకున్నా అధికారానికి విధేయత చూపించే ప్రయత్నం చేస్తాడు.
3). ఉత్తర సంప్రదాయ స్థాయి:-(Post Conventional Level)
ఉత్తర సంప్రదాయ స్థాయి 14 సంవత్సరాల నుండి వయోజన దశ వరకు ఉంటుంది. ఈ దశలో వ్యక్తి స్వీయ ఇష్టం అఇష్టాలకు అనుగుణంగా నైతిక విలువలు పాటించడం జరుగుతుంది.
ఉత్తరసంప్రదాయ స్థాయి లో 2 దశలు ఉంటాయి.
ఐదవ దశ:- సాంఘిక ఒడంబడిక దశ:-(లేదా) హేతుబద్ధంగా ఆలోచించి సమాజ ప్రమాణాలు అంగీకరించు దశ):-
ఈ ఐదవ దశలో వ్యక్తి ఇతరుల కోసం, సాంప్రదాయాల కోసము, కట్టుబాట్ల కోసము నైతిక నిర్ణయాలు తీసుకోవడం జరుగుతుంది.
వ్యక్తి తన ప్రవర్తనను తాను నియంత్రించుకునీ తాను నిర్ధారించుకున్న నైతిక నియమాలు హేతుబద్ధంగా ఆలోచించి, పాటించడం జరుగుతుంది.
ఆరవ దశ:- విశ్వవ్యాప్త నైతిక విలువలు పాటించు దశ:- కోల్బర్గ్ అభిప్రాయం ప్రకారం ఈ దశకు చేరుకోవడం చాలా కష్టము.
ఈ దశలో విశ్వజనీన నైతిక నియమాలు అయిన సత్యము ,సమానత్వము, మానవత్వం, న్యాయము, కరుణ, జాలి, మొదలైన విలువలు పాటిస్తారు.
వ్యక్తి నైతిక వికాసము సిగ్మండ్ ఫ్రాయిడ్ తన మూర్తిమత్వ వికాసం లో పేర్కొన్న సూపర్ ఇగో పై ఆధారపడి ఉంటుంది.
